Meghana is Assistant Vice President at Zarou.

Previously, she worked as Investment Executive at the CDC Group, the UK’s development finance institution, in the equity infrastructure team, focusing on power, transport and midstream oil and gas in Africa and South Asia. She helped set up Ayana, the South Asian renewables platform with 500MW under development, and worked on the power JV with the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) and their industrials and infrastructure arm IPS. She was also seconded to AKFED/IPS in Kenya, where she worked on the development of the 147-230MW Ruzizi III hydro project in the Great Lakes region (Rwanda, Burundi and the DRC) and the >$400m refinancing of the 250MW Bujagali hydro project in Uganda.

Prior to that, Meghana worked in the Royal Bank of Canada’s Utilities and Infrastructure team on transactions in Europe across renewables, regulated utilities and midstream oil & gas.

Meghana has an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi’s Shri Ram College of Commerce.
